An introduction to vocal health and staying in on peak vocal form. Including diet, exercise, hormones, warming up, warming down and mental health.
"I was diagnosed with soft nodules at college and spent my West End career in and out of rehabilitation; searching for ways to maintain my vocal health.
This class is an introduction to all I discovered during that time: visiting everyone from ENT surgeons, to nutritionists, vocal coaches and hypnotherapists, and from the ten years that I’ve been teaching singers who come to my studio with similar problems.
We’ll be looking at why your voice can seem inconsistent and what you can do to maintain good vocal health. Looking at the influencing factors including hormones, fatigue, muscle tension, bad technique, habitual patterns, diet, and how mental health and stress affects your voice.
It will be an overview to all areas allowing us to go deeper over the subsequent weeks."
